Surfadillo build log
Surfadillo is the first DaD-Labs field note.
DaD-Labs needs a real subject, not just a blank review template. Surfadillo gives us one: a public brand site, a merch shop, and the infrastructure work behind getting both online without turning the launch into a mess.
Surfadillo.com is the public brand surface: artwork, services, journal notes, and the personality of the project. The Surfadillo shop is the commerce side, where the merch catalog can grow without turning the main site into a storefront-first experience.
Why this belongs here
DaD-Labs is going to cover practical technology work. That includes consumer gear and review content, but it also includes the daily engineering choices behind a small web property: source control, build systems, DNS, tunnels, monitoring, security, and the dull details that keep launches from getting fragile.
Surfadillo is the first useful case study because it is already live, already has a real audience path, and already needs the same stack discipline a review site will need later: GitHub as the source of truth, repeatable deploys, clean separation between brand and commerce, and tracking that does not get bolted on in a panic.
